Shepherd of the Valley…

Seeking the lost.

Strengthening our faith..

Serving others in Christian love.

We are a group of Christians (friends of Christ) in northwest Denver who believe, love and serve Jesus. We want to share the true Jesus – the Jesus of the Bible – with you. Join us for worship and get to know who Jesus is according to the Bible and what he means for you today.

Our Purpose

The purpose of Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church is to serve all people in God’s world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. (Mark 16:16; Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8) To that end with God’s help we, as a gathering of Christians (2 Corinthians 6:1-2; 1 Corinthians 12:4-6) will:

  • Proclaim the Law, and the Gospel which under the Spirit’s blessing leads sinners to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ (Romans 3:20; Acts 16:31; 1 Corinthians 12:3; 1 Peter 1:23; Romans 10:17; Romans 1:16).
  • Nurture and strengthen one another in our Christian faith and life (Hebrews 10:24-25; Acts 2:42; Ephesians 4:11-14; Colossians 3:16; John 20-21-23; Matthew 18:15-20).
  • Develop the talents among us for the sharing of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with everyone (Acts 1:8; Ephesians 4:7-16; Mark 10:42-44; 2 Corinthians 8:7; 9:6-9; John 13:35; Galatians 6:10).
