About Us

Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran School is a pre-k3 through 8 school devoted to academic excellence, and Christian teachings.  It is our mission to assist parents in providing a high quality, Christ-centered education for each child.

It is the aim of our school to take into account all the child's needs of body, soul, and mind as we reflect the light of Jesus in our church community and beyond. Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran School is maintained and supported as part of the total ministry of Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church.  The school was established to partner with parents in their children’s education, providing not only a Christian environment, but also a thorough training in the Word of God and knowledge in all academic subjects taught from a Christian viewpoint.

Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran School is part of a school system that has been educating young people for over 150 years. This system is the fourth largest private/ parochial school system in the United States. We are one of 366 Lutheran Elementary Schools proudly teaching throughout the United States and Canada. We are proud to be celebrating our 40th year as a church serving the Westminster Area. We are an accredited school.
